The Visitor

The first illustration for my sci-fi universe. Basically the giant ball thing is a knowledge ark sent by an unknown alien race to wander the galaxy and give other civilizations advanced technology. When it reaches Earth it is attacked by human forces who quickly realize that their weapons have no effect. After some panic and desperation humanity deciphers the Ark's signal and gains isnsight into insanely advanced knowledge. The Ark leaves the Solar system shortly after.
